The Retreat is a newly built six-bedroom, 4.5-bath Rainbow River vacation rental in Dunnellon for up to 16 guests. It features approximately 130 feet of private riverfront, four kayaks, two paddleboards, tubes, waterfront gathering areas, an outdoor fireplace, Jacuzzi, table tennis, and an air-conditioned boathouse room.

Wake up, grab your coffee and step outside to the water. Spend the day swimming, floating, kayaking, paddleboarding or fishing right from the backyard. We provide 4 kayaks, 2 paddleboards and tubes, so your river adventure can begin without ever getting in the car.

Riverfront Living

One of the best parts of staying here is how easy it is to enjoy the river. Paddle upstream toward the Rainbow Springs headwaters, explore by kayak, or grab a tube and let the gentle current carry you downstream.

The large deck right on the water is made for vacation days. Fire up the grill, pull up a seat at the outdoor bar, or enjoy lunch and drinks at the outdoor seating area under the umbrella while taking in the river views.

When you're ready for a little friendly competition, challenge the family to a game of outdoor table tennis, then cool off with another swim or settle into one of the outdoor lounge areas and watch the river go by.

As evening arrives, gather around the oversized outdoor fireplace, with seating for up to 14, for stories, laughs and s’mores under the stars. Or slip into the Jacuzzi and unwind after a full day on the water.

With 6 large, spacious bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, the home is ideal for families and groups traveling together. The open-concept kitchen and living areas provide plenty of room to gather, while the size and layout of the home make it easy to find your own space when you want some downtime.

The home is newly built with beautiful finishes and was designed to make indoor living just as comfortable as your time outside.

For guests looking for something a little different, the property also includes a newly remodeled, air-conditioned boathouse room sitting right at the water’s edge. An air mattress and linens are provided for a fun “glamping” experience surrounded by nature. (Boat not included.)
